Mishmash Musings

I realize I haven’t posted a braces update in awhile, so I figured I’d do that today. I have now had braces on my lower teeth for nearly three months. There has been some definite movement in the lower teeth. After a few weeks, they straightened right out and looked pretty nice, but now it seems as though they’re crooked again. It’s almost as though the braces corrected the problem too much and now there’s a whole different problem. I’m not exactly concerned yet because I’m sure my ortho can see what I see (plus a whole lot more), so I guess I’ll just have to trust his experience.

I’ve had braces on my upper teeth for just about 6 weeks. So far, there’s no major discernable difference and I can’t detect any movement, either in the teeth themselves or in my overbite. I really thought that since I’ve had braces before, this second treatment would be quick and easy, but it’s not exactly turning out that way.

Other than the lack of movement, I don’t have any other problems to report. I’m getting used to eating, brushing, and flossing with braces on, so they’re not really affecting my life anymore. Still, I can’t wait until they come off!
