Schlepping Around Today
This being the first of the month, I had a bunch of errands to run today. My husband and I try to live off a monthly budget (instead of weekly like most people) just because it’s easier for us to deal with, say, 12 trips to the bank for cash and deposits than 52. So I do everything on the first of the month: update our bank books, get the money we need for our monthly expenses, and run a few general errands that I had to put off until we got this new infusion of cash.
I also had to go to about six different hardware and home improvement stores today, trying to find light bulbs for the bathroom. Yes, after seven years of living in this house, the bathroom lights finally went out. Of course, we have decorative bulbs that are proving impossible to find! Next time, I think I’ll just stick to more standard stuff to make these replacement missions a lot easier.
Anyway, I’m finally back home now and should be starting dinner soon. But I don’t really feel like cooking, so maybe I’ll try to convince my husband to blow some of our monthly fun money on Outback take-out tonight!
