Sore Muscles!
Saturday, December 8th, 2007So I already followed through on this morning’s post by playing Wii Sports for 30 minutes today. I have to say that I’m a bit surprised at how tired I got, especially during some long rallies in tennis. Plus, what’s even more surprising is that I’m already experiencing sore muscles in my right arm and shoulder… it feels like I really played 3 sets of tennis out at the club or something!
I had a lot of fun with this “workout” (if I can even call it that) and am anxious to see if there will be any results in terms of actual weight loss anywhere along the line. At this point, I think I’d be happy to lose an additional 2-3lbs. per month by adding Wii to my daily routine. Then I wouldn’t have to worry about trying to come up with enough money for one of those state-of-the-art ellipticals or treadmills.
Unfortunately, I have a feeling that it’s going to take a lot more than playing a video game in order for me to shed these extra pounds!
I’ve been reading a lot of stories recently about how the Nintendo Wii is head and shoulders above other video game systems in terms of actually helping people improve their bodies in various ways. Because the Wii uses sensors that pick up user motions (instead of standard game controllers), people who play Wii games are far more active than those who play other video games.
