Thinking of Resolutions
With just a couple days left in 2007, I’m already thinking about the resolutions I want to make for the new year. It seems that I always have the same goals year after year — mostly because I end up not reaching those milestones! So I’m going to make some adjustments this year, maybe lower the bar just a bit to make my resolutions achievable.
In addition, I’m going to move away from money/work-oriented goals and work hard towards improving myself as a person. I’ve done a lot of soul-searching in the past few months, and I’m definitely not happy with where I’m at in life. I need to change some habits now, be more productive with my time, and start accomplishing things.
Also, putting the past behind me once and for all will be something that I’m going to address big-time in 2008.
I look forward to the new year!

Very admirable goals. I’ve been thinking about my allocation of my time, energy, etc these days. I’ve been reading a book “Why Your Life Sucks and What You Can Do About It” (Cohen) and although it’s a bit over the top in some areas, he does have some good suggestions.
Best of luck to you!

Allocation of time has been a major issue for me recently. I work from home, so the temptations to waste time (message boards, forums, TV) are always there. I need to find a way to stay on track when I’m supposed to be working (freelance writing) so that my can complete my tasks in a timely manner.
Instead of taking an hour to complete a 400-word article (because I click around the Internet when I’m stuck for something to say), I could get it done in 25 minutes by staying on task. That’s a huge difference!
I’ll have to check that book out; thanks for the suggestion!
