Bankruptcy & Real Estate Attorney

Friday, January 4th, 2008

The current mortgage crisis is affecting tens of thousands of families all across the country. Higher interest rates are making it impossible for these people to keep up with their bills and house payments, which is leading to incredible hardships. Many are choosing to file for bankruptcy at this time in order to try to establish a bit of protection from creditors.

If this is a situation you’re facing, then I recommend consulting with a licensed attorney to examine your options. For example, New York bankruptcy lawyer Richard S. Feinsilver has been specializing in this area for more than 15 years now. He offers free consultations in his Kings, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties offices, as well as over the phone or web.

By having an attorney on your side, you can be sure of getting sound legal advice about the best way to go about protecting your assets. Set up a free consultation today to see what Mr. Feinsilver can do for you.

Loving iTunes U!!

Friday, January 4th, 2008

I’m not a big music-lover, so I usually end up filling my iPod with audiobooks, podcasts, and even sermons from my favorite priest. Recently, I’ve also been downloading FREE lectures from top universities such as MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Yale through the special iTunes U section offered by iTunes.

While there’s not a huge selection of lectures available just yet, there’s definitely enough to keep me busy for several months. I’ve already listened to lectures about classic novels, journalistic ethics, and Greek history, and am looking forward to downloading even more stuff in the future.

The lectures I’ve heard are simply awesome. There’s such a tremendous difference between, say, Stanford professors and the ones I had at my hick college that it’s not even funny. Wow, I really missed out on a lot by not getting into a good school!

Anyway, this is a brilliant idea, and I hope to see many more universities becoming involved soon.

iTunes U is just another reason that I <3 the Internet! :)

Automotive Radiators Online

Friday, January 4th, 2008

My friend Jenny recently had to replace the radiator in her car. She told me that instead of taking her vehicle to the dealer to get this done, she bought a radiator online and then found a local mechanic to do the installation. She saved quite a bit of money this way, and recommends that I do the same thing if the situation ever arises.

In all honesty, a car radiator is something that I never would have considered buying online before. But after hearing Jenny rave about her experience, I decided to check things out for myself. I went to a website called Radiator.com, and was positively floored by the huge selection of parts that they have in stock.

I looked up a Civic Radiator out of curiosity, and saw that Radiator.com has plenty of them — all at much lower prices than I’ve seen anywhere else.

I’ll have to keep these guys in mind if I ever need to replace my radiator!

Classmate News

Friday, January 4th, 2008

I just found out that an old classmate of mine is currently an Associated Press correspondent. I’ve seen his articles published on the AP website, as well as different newspaper outlets such as the Washington Post and Chicago Tribune.

This is very cool — and completely unexpected. After all, the guy didn’t display any journalistic tendencies when we were in school, never wrote for the school paper or anything like that. Then again, not everyone knows exactly what careers they want to pursue at that age!

Anyway, I’ll definitely be reading his stories every time they crop up. He’s currently covering the elections, so this should be good stuff!
