Memory Boost
I have a three-year-old generic desktop PC that doesn’t give me much in the way of performance. It works just well enough for me to keep it around, but is frustratingly slow at times — particularly when I have several applications open at once.
Because this affected my work productivity and caused me to reboot a couple times a day because of system freezes, I finally convinced my husband to try adding more computer memory to see if that would help.
It did!
We went to the store today and bought a 512MB RAM card to go along with the 256MB card that was pre-installed. Now my computer is very snappy, and even notoriously slow apps like Excel and Word open without issues. It’s awesome!
I just can’t believe I waited this long to do something about my computer. If I had known how easy it would be to address the lag issues, I would have fixed this ages ago!
