Mark Dean Schwab Executed
After the U.S. Supreme Court denied Mark Dean Schwab’s final appeal, the convicted child rapist and killer was executed by lethal injection tonight. He was pronounced dead at 6:15pm local time in the state of Florida, where he had been on Death Row since 1992. This was the first execution in Florida in a year and a half, as then-governor Jeb Bush put a temporary moratorium on executions after one inmate took unusually long to die.
I support the death penalty and believe that Mark Dean Schwab deserved to die. He was the lowest form of scum: the kind that preys on children. He had been in prison before, and just 6 weeks after he was released the first time around, he kidnapped, raped, and murdered a boy named Junny Rios-Martinez, Jr.
The world is a bit better off today.
