Mishmash Musings

I have been completely and utterly remiss about promoting my blogs recently. I haven’t been visiting other sites, I haven’t been commenting on other blogs, I haven’t been joining any blogging communities in order to generate reciprocal visits… I haven’t been doing any of that stuff because I simply haven’t had any time.

I know, I know. On the one hand, I’ve been saying that the last couple of months have been the slowest I’ve ever experienced in my freelance writing career, while on the other hand I’m now saying I don’t have enough time to attend to the basics. What gives?

Believe me, I’m not just sitting at home watching TV or romping around in Shirley of Hollywood lingerie. I’ve been working at my outside-the-home job and have also been spending a lot of time on housework, cooking, and other daily chores. Plus, I’m trying to spend more time with my family, which means trips to the pool, extended Wii sessions, and afternoons at the park.

As you might expect, my blog traffic has dropped off significantly since I’m no longer actively promoting it, which is a situation I need to rectify very soon. Look for me to get back into the full swing of things in a couple more weeks!
