Finished the interview
I got back from my important job interview about an hour ago, and have mixed feelings about how it went. On the one hand, I think I answered all the questions very well and had all of my qualifications and reference documents in order.
On the other hand, I looked like utter crap. I break out whenever my period is on its way, and yep, you guessed it, I had a fresh crop of acne all over my forehead. The pimples weren’t full-blown cysts or anything, just more like little bumps. But there were A LOT of them and they were clearly noticeable, even with makeup.
Speaking of makeup, I didn’t do a very good job of applying it today, as it looked rather horrid in the harsh fluorescent lights in the interview office (I sneaked a peak in my compact while in the waiting room). My bathroom lights must be pretty soft and favorable, because I thought I looked decent when I left the house. But no… the makeup accentuated my big pores and just made me look blech.
So, I’m kind of depressed right now, as I think I might have blown the interview just from looking so bad. Honestly, I probably didn’t look as horrid as I’m making it sound, but still… I’m not exactly bubbling over with confidence right now.
