End of Pontiac

As part of GM’s restructuring plan, the automobile maker is going to drop the entire Pontiac line. I owned exactly one Pontiac in my life, but it was a good one: a 1997 Firebird. I was just 23 at the time, so a hot sports car was a very big deal to me.
To this day, my Firebird was the nicest car I’ve ever had. I’m a lot more sensible and go for economy cars these days, but back then I had a great time driving my Firebird. I’ll miss seeing these things on the road.
Oh, well… nothing lasts forever, I guess.
