Hank Baskett Released
The Philadelphia Eagles have released WR Hank Baskett after adding Michael Vick to the active roster in anticipation of Vick’s full reinstatement in Week 3. Baskett has never had much of a role in the Eagles’ offense, and is known more for his Playmate wife than for his feats on the football field.
Still, I wonder if he could help the Bears at all. They’re really desperate for experienced receivers, which was made especially clear during their abysmal performance in Green Bay. If I were Baskett, I’d hold off on booking any Cancun packages for now. I’m sure some team could use a bit of depth and insurance at the WR position, so I doubt he’ll be out of a job for long.
