Brittany Murphy Cause of Death
A coroner has concluded that Brittany Murphy died of pneumonia. The report also stated that there were prescription drugs in Murphy’s system, which also could have contributed to her death, and was also suffering from anemia at the time.
Because of the pneumonia indication, the death is ruled as natural — and preventable. Still, some people are intimating that the prescription drugs had more to do with the death than the report says. Apparently, overuse of these drugs can exacerbate pneumonia symptoms, making it hard to determine whether it was the drugs or the pneumonia that was really to blame.
Well, I’m sure folks will continue to debate this for a few hours before moving on to the next bit of celeb gossip.
RIP.
No matter what happened, the loss of someone so young and in the prime of life is tragic and sad. If prescription drugs are to blame, this would not be the first not the last time someone died from misuse of them. It is of my opinion that it is obvious doctors are partially at fault when anyone dies from a prescription drug problem because they either, number 1, do not tell the patient the dangers of mixing it with certain things or, number 2, they continue to prescribe unnecessary meds even when they know the person had a problem with substance abuse. Im not saying Brittany abused these drugs but I’m saying that her doctor should have told her how they would react with her anemia and pneumonia. It seems no one was monitoring her drug use. Maybe she was abusing them, but that brings us to the question of why her doctor was prescribing them if she didn’t need them!
I agree with you 100% about doctors needing to be more aware of how patients are using the drugs. I have a feeling that celebs can pretty much get whatever they want from doctors without having to jump through hoops. I mean, it’s no coincidence that so many of them end up accidentally overdosing on scripts, right?
