Low-carb update
So it’s been about a week since I started my low-carb diet. I’m not being a Nazi about carbs; just monitoring my intake and completely avoiding the obvious stuff like bread, pasta, potatoes, chips, and cookies. Since I used to practically live on that stuff, this past week has been extremely difficult. BUT — I am already getting used to not having bread at every meal, and I’ve lost a pound for my efforts. Not much, granted, but it’s 20 percent of my goal, so I’m happy. Plus, I really do feel better on a daily basis. I have more energy (just like everyone says) and haven’t had to take my afternoon nap every single day like I usually do.
Now here’s hoping this sticks for a while!
